👋🏽 I’m Laraya, a self-proclaimed wanderer. I am the author of the poetry collection Words from a Wanderer and the host of the Sheer Creativity podcast, a platform about the creative journey. My love of poetry led to performing in slam competitions and joining a slam team.
📝 In my personal life, I am on the board for a poetry nonprofit that uses spoken word as a means of community action.
✍🏽 I’ve been writing this newsletter since January 2023. My writing is a glimpse into Black womanhood, creativity, and life from a perspective that is often overlooked and neglected. I’m excited to share these thoughts with you, dear reader 🧡
